Repairing the Deck in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is a side quest given by Tiernan, who is a keeper at the fishing village in the Horns of the South region. You are given this quest quite early in the game when you are progressing through the Horns of the South Region.
In this guide, I will explain how you can complete this quest quickly, where to get the wood required for repairing the deck, and what rewards you get from it.
How Can You Repair the Deck in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon
Travel to the fishing village in the Horns of the South region. When you reach the village’s entrance, you will meet Tiernan. You can ask him if he needs help with anything, and he will task you with the Repairing the Deck quest. It is the first task in a series of quests that mainly revolve around repairing the village.
For Repairing the Deck, players require 50 Wood. If you don’t already have it with you, you’ll need to gather it to complete the quest.
Where to Get Wood to Repair Deck in Tainted Grail

While wood may look like a common resource, it isn’t that simple to get in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon.
The best way to get wood is to use a woodcutting axe, which you can get from the Ruined Market Square by killing a man there. Or you can buy one from a vendor named Orlaith near the keep’s main gate in the Horns of the South.
After you have grabbed a woodcutting axe, head to specific Lumbering Spots and chop some wood. Players can only chop wood one time in a day; taking rest near a bonfire for 24 hours resets the counter.
The Lumbering Spots are located in the Horns of the South fortress, Margh’s Hunter Tower, and Cuanacht. Each shop extracts 33.33% stamina and you will need to rest after every 3 swings.
You can also get wood from some containers, and if you are lucky, you may find some wood from drops from enemies. But these two methods may take a lot of exploration and time. This is why I suggest getting wood through the axe.

Some vendors also sell 30 wood per day. This counter can be refreshed by simply resting for 24 hours at the campfire near the Keeper’s blacksmith.
Repairing the Deck
This quest is mostly about getting wood. Once you have it, reach the deck and repair it.
You can then return to Tiernan and give him an update on the Deck. You can ask him for more quests if you want.
Furthermore, you will get a reward of 100 Gold and 100 XP after completing the quest. The rewards are totally worth it after a small quest like this.
