Each king comes with their own abilities and most of them are pretty great. However, some kings lean toward production, and other support militia and unit HP boost among other things.

Each new King you unlock in The King is Watching will have three abilities. Some are active while others are passive abilities. And there is a cost associated with using abilities. How to Unlock Passive Abilities in The King is Watching
As I mentioned earlier, there are active and passive abilities in the game. Just like active abilities, each King has three passives in total. To unlock passive abilities in The King is Watching go to the upgrades building and then to the green skills tree.
King’s Upgrade path has passive abilities listed. Buy the first King’s Upgrade to unlock the first passive. The King’s Upgrade quest is universal, so there is no need to unlock it for every King in The King in Watching.
