Obsidian Entertainment’s latest RPG, The Outer Worlds 2, is off to an amazing start, surpassing the first game in early performance numbers. The Outer Worlds 2 draws 1.1 million players across all platforms in just 12 days of launch.

The Outer Worlds 2 released on October 29, 2025, and has already exceeded expectations in both reach and engagement. Priced at $69.99, the sequel has shown significantly stronger momentum compared to the original title, according to data from Sensor Tower’s latest Video Game Insights report.

Sensor Tower data confirmed a 45% player base from the United States, followed by 17% from China, 13% from the UK, and only 5% from Canada. With an average playtime of 13.8 hours and an average Xbox rating of 3.5/5, early signs point to strong engagement among players.
