So, you have picked the side quest “Brazier Puzzle” in Fiend’s Hollow, and now you are stuck in it? Don’t worry, there are many more players that are spending hours on solving the clue provided by the mysterious locked door.
In this guide, I will explain how to solve the Brazier Puzzle in Titan Quest 2. Without solving the puzzle, you will not be able to get the rewards from the “Cages in the Dark” world quest.
This puzzle is completely optional and isn’t required to finish “Cages in the Dark.” However, it’s worth doing if you’re into collecting loot and exploring every corner.
How to Solve the Brazier Puzzle in Titan Quest 2

“You imagine yourself lighting a lone brazier. Then a pair of Braziers. Then a trio. Then the thoughts fade.”
This is the clue that the locked door provided to the players. By reading the text of the clue, you will probably think that you have to light a brazier one time, then light two, and then light three. The first instinct is to light up the ones right in front of you. However, this is not the case.
If you read the text of the clue deeply, you will come to know that it is talking about lighting up braziers at three different locations inside the cave.
You might think that why not light the three right in front and then deal with the other three later on. That’s not the case. The quest requires you to light all six braziers in sequence.
- First: Light a single brazier
- Second: Light a pair of braziers
- Third: Light a trio of braziers
Where to Find Braziers
The first brazier you have to light is on the eastern side of the cave. From the cave, head eastwards, and you will find a solo brazier there. Light it up.
The second location with two braziers is situated southwest of this position. Circle southwest from your position and you will find the two braziers. Light up both of them, and then come back to the door and light the three in front of you.
The mysterious door will now open itself. The character inside the door isn’t going to come out, so let him be. Get inside and loot the valuables.
You will get 2,440 experience points and 10x Embers of Night upon opening the door. This is the only reward you get from completing the quest. Arrive at the Pyrgos Outskirts waypoint and speak to Timandra to complete the quest.
