A junior 3D modeler at Ubisoft Bordeaux has updated their LinkedIn profile to show they are currently working on an “unannounced project,” revealing that the studio may have a new title in development.

According to the profile the developer has been working on this new game since October 2025. There is no way to know what game this could be based on the developer’s profile, but there is a strong chance of this being the long-rumored Project Stardust, the remake of Assassin’s Creed 1.
Ubisoft Bordeaux has historically supported Assassin’s Creed titles and recently worked on Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Valley of Memory DLCs, the entire project was a huge success with 10 million players as of 2025, according to Ubisoft.

Stardust will release after the remake of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag aka Obsidian, which according to Insider Gaming is slated for sometime before March 31, 2026.
The “Stardust” name shows up in multiple leaks, and several insiders align on it being a remake. But none of this is confirmed by Ubisoft. If Stardust is an AC1 remake that is supposed to release after Black Flag (2026) it would make sense that Ubisoft Bordeaux has started working on it this year.
According to the rumors, Assassin’s Creed 1 Remake is a 2027 game.
