If you’re playing Vampire Survivors on Steam, Epic, or Xbox app you often need to tinker with the save file location to reset the progress.

The problem is that the location is different on each client. If you’re Epic and Steam the locations are different from Xbox app.

Game ClientSave File Location
SteamC:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[STEAM ID]\1794680\remote
Epic Games LauncherC:\Users\[WINDOWS USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Vampire_Survivors_EGS\[Unique ID]
Xbox AppC:\Users\[WINDOWS USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Packages\SystemAppData\wgs\

The Xbox app encrypts the save file like other Windows apps. When you reach the wgs folder open the folder with the long string of numbers and then open the next folder inside it with the long string of numbers but no extension.

If you want to replace your Steam or Epic save files with Xbox then you need to rename this last folder “SaveData.sav” and paste the data in the Steam or Epic paths.

Make sure to back up your SaveData.sav file if you plan to manipulate or delete it.
