Soulframe requires players to join a Faction as soon as they complete the guided content. At this point in the game, you have the option to join one of the three Factions.
Namely, there are three Factions in Soulframe: Alca’s Children, Kith of Kings, or Silent Rose. The virtue of each Faction is different, and it greatly impacts the way your character in the game develops later on.
If you want to know more about these Factions before joining one, then you are at the right place. In this guide, I will explain everything you need to know about Soulframe Factions.
How Factions Work in Soulframe
In Soulframe, Factions are like groups or communities composed of NPCs that have a unique culture, beliefs, and values. They work together to achieve a common goal. Each Faction represents a unique class that plays a major role in determining your envoy’s attributes.
After you join a Faction, you will get a totem in your inventory that is an identification of your Faction. Each Faction comes with an enclave that has a Faction Shop from where you can get Faction-related goods by interacting with the Faction Representative.
There are three Factions in Soulframe. Let’s explore each of the Faction briefly.
Alca’s Children – Spirit
“Roused by rain, was she, a new witch abloom in the garden of Eldveil.”
If you pledge to Spirit, then you will join Alca’s Children Faction. The main focus of this Faction is spells, and their abilities are tilted towards natural things, as they can interact with trees, water, rocks, and spirit animals. After you pledge to Alca’s Children, you will have access to their shop and pacts. If you prefer to develop your character around magic and be able to manipulate the power of nature, then join Alca’s Children.
Alca’s Children shop is located at Alca’s Children Enclave. You can communicate with the NPC Avakot there to level up the Faction.

Kith of Kings – Courage
“Chief of the Solist Warriors, was she, wreathed in flame and fury.”
If you want to develop your character around courage and physical strength, then go for the Kith of Kings Faction. Their strength lies in being warriors, and they use flame and melee weapons to neutralize enemies.
Their pacts typically involve a chance to enhance your physical capabilities and defense abilities. If you want your envoy to be physically powerful and defeat all the Odes with sheer power, then join this Faction.
The Faction’s representative is Fenn Jotar, and you can find him at the Kith of Kings Faction shop at the Faction’s enclave.

How to Join a Faction in Soulframe?
The patch/prelude 9 of Soulframe has come with Factions. You can join a Faction after you receive a fable, “An Invitation” in the game. You don’t have to do anything, as it comes automatically after you clear the guided content, and this happens quite early on in the game, so you won’t have to wait any longer. Players are made to visit the enclave of each Faction so they can explore and evaluate the best Faction for them.
After you join a Faction, you will have to complete a joining quest. These quests are quite easy and don’t take much time. If you join Alca’s Children, you will have to complete a puzzle.
For Silent Rose, players are required to booze from a certain area. To join the Kith of Kings Faction, you will have to fight and defeat a ghost at the door of their enclave.
What is Standing in Factions in Soulframe?
Faction Standings are like points in Soulframe. The standing is zero at the time of joining a Faction, but it can be increased by completing the Sparrow Tale quest for a Faction. The higher your standing, the more Faction-related items you can get in Soulframe.
To level up your Faction, you need 5000 Standing. This will let you unlock more items in your Faction, such as crafting materials, equipment, and pacts. You can also buy Favors from the Factions Shop in the enclave using Standings. However, this will reduce your Standings and you will have to earn more points if you want to unlock the next Faction Rank.
How to Change Faction in Soulframe?
You might think that the Faction once joined in Soulframe cannot be changed. This is not true. However, it is a time-consuming task, as you need to progress enough in the game and must have at least 18,000 Faction Standing if you are starting from zero.
If you are at level 3, you will need 3,000 Faction Standing. Get the Sacred Shimmer and craft the Faction Totem you need to join. Tuvalkane, the blacksmith, is the NPC you need to see to get the Faction Totem crafted.
You will need to recruit her, which is not that difficult to do. All you have to do is go to Oro’s Well, located right at the center of Midrath. From here, you will have to pick the Moonsteel Helm and drop it at a designated stop. Please note that you will come across numerous enemies on your way. Drop the Moonsteel Helm and kill them before moving ahead.
Once you see Tuvalkane, interact with her so she can relocate to Nightfold. Once recruited, you can ask her to craft one of the following three totems to join a new Faction.
- Kith of Kings: Medallion of Mora
- Alca’s Children: Sproutfolk Seed
- Silent Rose: Rose’s Bodkin
Crafting the totem requires one fragment and 4,000 Dracs and takes 24 hours. Collect the new totem from Tuvalkane, equip it, and visit the enclave of the Faction you want to join. Pledge your allegiance to the Faction Representative, and you can then officially become a part of that Faction.
You can change your Faction again after 7 days. If you come back to your original Faction, you will get your rank level you had before leaving.
