During the Lost Cause Prayers quest in Where Winds Meet, you will see a trapped mythical deer in the west of Tiger Fort. To free this deer, you will have to get your hands on two Longevity Fruits. Not just that, after getting it, you will be making an offering at two temples whose location is not clear during the quest.

Quest Name: Lost Cause Prayers

Mythical Deer Location Where Winds Meet

To start the quest, collect the Village Chief’s Notes and speak to Lu Sheng near Tiger Fort, Twinbeast Ridge. The quest will require you to plant the Longevity Fruit Seed, which you will get after completing the Gleaming Abyss campaign, and find two Longevity Fruits in different locations. You will need to offer these fruits to the mythical deer shrine to free the deer.

Make your way to Lu Sheng’s location near Tiger Fort and plant the Longevity Fruit seeds into the plot of dirt in front of him. You will get the option to plant while stepping on the dirt mound. Now, we can leave the seed to grow and get to finding the fruits for the mythical deer shrine.

The first Longevity Fruit can be found in the Wraith Village in Witherwilds. Enter the building left of the teleport waypoint and take the ladder to reach the top floor. Now, check the crate on your right to get the first Longevity Fruit.

Where to find the Two Longevity Fruits in Where Winds Meet

As for the second Longevity Fruit, you will need to head further west from Wraith Village towards the edge of Gleaming Abyss. Use a flaming arrow to open the small cave entrance on the mountain covered in vines. Head inside to find a Buddha statue holding the second Longevity fruit.

Now that you have the two Longevity Fruits, it’s time to offer them to the two mythical deer shrines. Keep in mind that the offering will only work after midnight.

Where to Find the Two Mythical Deer Shrines in Where Winds Meet

Now you need to offer two Longevity Fruits at the temple, one at each.

Head to the southwestern section of Twinbeast Ridge near the shoreline. Keep travelling southwest from the Tiger Fort waypoint to find a fire pit and a giant boulder near it. That’s where you will find the first shrine.

To find the second shrine, head southwest of the Tiger Fort itself. Travel northwest from the first shrine to see the next shrine. Now, place the fruit in front of the large boulder next to the fire pit to find an interactive section to place fruits.

Remember the dirt plot where you planted the Longevity Fruit seed? Head there and speak to the passerby under the tree, and he will mock you for believing in the mythical deer. Backtrack to where you found the deer and investigate the vines that shackled the deer during your previous visit.

This will conclude the  Lost Cause Prayers quest, and you will receive the following rewards:

  • Echo Jade x40
  • Qinghe Exploration x10
  • Coin x5000
  • Stored XP x5000

And that’s how you free the mythical deer in Where Winds Meet. If you are struggling with another aspect of the game, like unlocking the free morph mystic skill, then check out our guide on that as well. I hope that this guide helped you.
