Crimson Desert continues to look more impressive with each new piece of marketing shared by developer Pearl Abyss. The studio’s latest deep dive into the game goes over its open-world, which has much to offer and many distractions to keep players busy.

Pywel is full of life and many gameplay systems interacting with each other in real-time. In fact, the Life in Pywel footage also shows Crimson Desert’s wanted system in effect.

Crimson Desert lets you interact with the world in many ways, including choosing to be good or bad with the NPCs in Pywel.

As the gameplay footage points out, players can choose to show hostility to the NPCs by attacking them or engaging in acts like pickpocketing. This is where the law gets involved, and the game’s wanted system comes into play with a bounty on Kliff’s head.

Like Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead Redemption’s wanted systems, things gradually escalate in Crimson Desert, and as the video shows, lack of restraint can lead to Kliff facing off against entire hordes of security forces. If this doesn’t isn’t exciting enough, the game also features a jail system for when you are caught.

Although the video does not discuss this mechanic in too much depth, it certainly appears to have a lot of potential. Pearl Abyss is aiming to offer as dynamic an open-world as possible with its upcoming RPG, and this wanted system should go a long way in making the world feel more alive.

Elsewhere, the team has shared details regarding other activities like mini-games in Crimson Desert. The RPG features rock-paper-scissors, horse racing, and a lot more for those looking to keep themselves busy in between the more important events and activities.
