Advisors play a huge role in The King is Watching so choosing the right Advisor makes a big difference. Sometimes you may have to switch around your line-up of Advisors. If you’re confused about how to change Advisors, I’m here to help you out.
Changing Advisors in The King is Watching
You can switch out your Advisors in two ways.
From the Kingdom Page head over to the Council area on your Kingdom page. You can see the Advisors you have right now and pick new ones from the pool you’ve already unlocked.
During Run Setup, while you’re getting ready for a new run, you’ll see the area to pick your Advisors right under the King box on the left side of the setup screen. Make sure to do this before you hit Start on your run.
In every run, you can grab Advisors from the ones you’ve unlocked, but you’re limited to the number of Advisor slots you’ve got. You can expand those slots by getting upgrades. Once the run begins, the Advisors you picked will stay locked in and give their bonuses for the whole playthrough.
How to Unlock Advisors
It goes without saying that you need to first unlock advisors before you can do anything with them. You start with one Advisor Slot. To unlock more Advisors in The King is Watching, you begin with one Council Slot and one Advisor by default. To unlock additional Advisor slots, you need to invest in the Blue upgrade tree in the Upgrade section of the game.
