The team behind Stellar Blade has already confirmed that it is currently working on a sequel. Following the successful launch of this IP, both PS5 and PC players have shown plenty of interest in what the future holds for Shift Up and Stellar Blade.
However, the same is the case for gamers on other platforms, with many praising Stellar Blade despite not having access to the game. Shift Up is clearly aware of this admiration, and the team has discussed plans for bringing the title to other platforms soon.
When asked to share what 2026 would hold for Stellar Blade in an investor’s QnA for Q4 2025, Shift Up responded by confirming plans to reveal information regarding Stellar Blade 2 this year.
Moreover, the team noted that it intends to build excitement for the sequel, and to do so, it is planning expansion to platforms beyond PS5 and PC. Therefore, there is a strong chance Stellar Blade will be released on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series S|X before the end of the year.
It should be noted that Shift Up responded similarly when asked about the series during last quarter’s investor Q&A, so it seems these plans have only solidified further since then. As the studio puts it, 2026 will lead to even more users getting to know the IP.

Shift Up has also hinted at plans to launch Stellar Blade 2 as a multiplatform title from the get-go. Therefore, it seems the series’ future lies in establishing itself across all consoles, even if it initially found life on PlayStation.
