Looking for an OP rod in Crimson Desert? Give the Claw a try, as it has a pretty unique ability to reel in fish when used automatically. You won’t have to go through the boring fishing process with this rod, so it’s a must-have. There are two ways to get it, and this Crimson Desert guide will cover both.
How to Get Claw Fishing Rod?
You can either steal the Claw from the fisherman in Bounty’s Net, or you can obtain it as a reward for earning the maximum amount of trust with the Secret Shop Vendor, Patrigio.
Let’s start with the stealing method first. Equip a Mask and go to the location shown in the image above. You can check out our guide on how to steal in Crimson Desert if you don’t know how to get a Mask. Once you are, look to the pier on the right to find a fisherman using a unique rod, which will be the Claw.
Bump into the fisherman or just kick him to make him drop the Claw. But there’s one problem. The Claw will usually drop into the water, which makes it impossible to pick up. If that happens, back off for a bit, and he should pick up the Claw himself. Keep doing this until it drops on the ground, and when it does, steal it and run away.
For the second method, you will have to go to Patrigio, who is a Secret Shop wandering merchant, only encountered near the Howling Hill camp, between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM, after you complete Chapter 3 of the main story in Crimson Desert. He can be found inside the Howling Hill camp, directly in front of Ross, the Dispatch Coordinator’s stall, on the narrow road just outside the Howling Hill camp that leads to Hernand, and near the Goldleaf Trading Post.
Once you have found him, gift him 20 Copper Pouches. You can get these from enemy dead bodies after a battle. When his trust rating reaches 100, you will get the Claw Fishing Rod.
