Cooking is a bit part of Tales of Shire. It is pretty much central to your activities in the game. Meals you prepare boos your social bonds, give special buffs, among other things.
Cooking is done using the cooking station, but you need to unlock the recipes first. You start with basic stations like a chopping board and frying pan but unlock more advanced stations later to handle other cooking tasks (e.g., roasting, baking).
You can add flavors and textures to your recipes like make them sweat, Spicy, or Bitter depending on the preference of the one eating it.
Recipes can be unlocked through side quests and leveling up Friendship with villagers. Once you have meals prepared you can also host meal gatherings in Tales of Shire.
