According to reporting from The Verge, ahead of the GDC 2026 keynote, a graphic highlighting the next-gen Xbox notes that Microsoft wants developers to prioritize PC above everything else. Microsoft notes that the development path for game studios starts from PC, with the console ecosystem coming in second place on the priority list. This is part of Microsoft's new "Xbox For PC" slogan, which was also mentioned at GDC 2026. "Build for Xbox on PC.
